La Chiesa san Carpoforo , edificata nel IV secolo per volere di San Felice, fu la sede della prima comunità cristiana di Como ed è, per questo motivo, un simbolo importante della città. La tradizione vuole che la chiesa abbia accolto le spoglie dei Santi Carpoforo, Esanto, Cassio, Licinio, Severo e Secondo, martirizzati agli inizi del IV secolo.
The S.Carrpoforo church, built in IV century at the behest of S.Felice, was the headquarter of the first Christian Community of Como and, for this reason, it’s an important symbol for this city. According to the tradition the church hosted the relics of several saints, such as S.Carpoforo, Esanto, Cassio, Licinio, Severo and Secondo, martyred at the beggining of IV century.
